Hi!  I'm Maureen (a.k.a. Mo!),
the founder & lead creative at MRE.

My passion for hospitality started at a young age. I've thrived on the hustle & bustle of the restaurant scene for nearly fifteen years, giving me invaluable perspective on what it means to create a memorable experience with the simplicity of great service. These formative lessons lit the spark to pursue a career in the hospitality & events industry. I went on to graduate from Saint Louis University with a degree in Psychology, followed by a Master's Degree in Public Relations & Media Communications.
 
The first five years of my events career were spent managing, planning and designing weddings for a luxury event firm in Saint Louis. My experiences ranged from designing private dinner parties to executing elaborate multi-day destination wedding weekends. I was honored to have my work & marketing efforts featured in various national publications like Vogue, Martha Stewart Weddings, and BRIDES.

At the end of 2018, as my time at my previous firm was coming to a close, I was approached by a previous client, Porter Braswell, who was impressed with the flawless planning of his own wedding. He offered to partner and invest as I navigated a new business venture. Shortly after, Maureen Renée Events was brought to life and I am proud to have since been named one of the top wedding planners
by The Knot and Ladue News.
 
As I enter my ninth year in the wedding industry, I'm as committed and passionate as ever about developing authentic relationships with my clients to create unmatched experiences for every special event in their lives. I find myself constantly inspired and fueled by creativity that I love sharing with the world through my work!
